Showcase Recap & Community Q&A | Playtests Coming 2026
Our latest showcase was about one thing: connecting the dots. Here’s a quick breakdown of what we revealed - and what’s coming next as we head toward our first community playtests in 2026.
Visual Update & World
We shared progress on the ongoing visual overhaul, including improved environments, lighting, character models, and armor. You also got an early look at Ondall’s Fall, one of the zones you’ll explore in the world of Aragon.
Playable races planned for the demo:
- Humans
- Dwarves
- Undead
- Infernal Demons
Classes, Talents & Scars
We revisited the four playable classes:
- Paladin - frontline fighter
- Mage - elemental damage dealer
- Ranger - tactical ranged specialist
- Druid - hybrid caster and shapeshifter
Each class is supported by a flexible talent system that allows respec and experimentation.
Progression is further shaped by the Scar System. Scars are earned naturally through leveling and elite encounters, and they modify abilities - not just stats. Scar options are randomized within groups, keeping builds flexible as your character develops.
Combat Feel
Combat in Scars of Honor uses a hybrid system:
- Tab-targeting as the foundation
- Skillshots and ground-targeted abilities where appropriate
The footage shown comes from an in-progress build, and we’re continuing to refine animations and combat feel as development moves forward.
Dungeons: The Crypt of the Fallen
We revealed our first dungeon, The Crypt of the Fallen.
Dungeons are:
- Procedurally generated
- Built around branching paths
- Shaped by bonus/penalty modifiers chosen during the run

Open World, Crafting & PvP
In the open world, quests often have multiple solutions, and player decisions can affect how the world responds.
Gathering and crafting support progression through activities like mining, woodcutting, and fishing, all built around interactive minigames.
For PvP, we introduced:
- Mourning Pass - a 5v5 battleground focused on objectives and skill
- Thallan’s Ring - our arena mode featuring both classic team formats and multi-team battles (1v1v1, 2v2v2, etc.), where positioning, awareness, and decision-making matter just as much as raw skill
What’s Next
Scars of Honor is already on Steam, which is our main hub for updates and community content.
If you missed them, we’ve already shared:
And most importantly: Our first community playtests will begin in Spring 2026.
In the coming days, we’ll share more details about:
- How to join the playtests
- Exact dates and duration
