Scars of Honor Playtest - What to Expect
The first Scars of Honor Steam playtest is almost here.
Running from April 30 to May 11, this will be the first opportunity for players to step into Aragon and experience the game in a larger-scale environment.
This playtest marks an important milestone in development, as we begin testing core systems, player progression, and server stability with a broader audience.
How to Join the Playtest
Participation is simple.
Head to the Scars of Honor Steam page and click the “Request Access” button.
Access will be granted in waves throughout the playtest period, so we recommend requesting access early and keeping an eye on your email for updates.
What You'll Be Able to Experience
During the playtest, you’ll get an early look at many of the core systems that define Scars of Honor.
New Races & Class Freedom
For the first time, players will be able to choose from 6 races, including the newly introduced Bearan and Gronthar.
With their addition, both factions now have access to all available classes, giving you far more freedom in how you build and play your character.
Open World Experience
The playable area will include Ondall’s Fall, one of the regions of Aragon, where you can explore, complete quests, and encounter a variety of enemies.
You’ll also be able to:
- Progress through early combat and leveling
- Experiment with Talents and the Scar System
- Gather resources and craft items
- Engage in PvP modes, including battlegrounds and arenas
- Face the Lord of Shadows, a powerful world boss
- Faction Bosses in the main cities
Playtest Focus
For this playtest, our PvE focus is on the open world experience, which means:
Dungeons will not be available just yet.
This is intentional, our dungeon system is a key part of the game, and we’re continuing to refine it to meet the level of quality and replayability we’re aiming for. But don’t worry, you will have an opportunity to try them out very soon after this playtest.

- Gathering and Crafting
- Talents and Scars
- Duels
Wave 2
- World Boss: The Lord of Shadows
- Mourning Pass Battleground
- Honor System and PvP Vendors
- Faction Bosses
Wave 3
- Arena modes (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc.)
- Arena Honor and Vendors
Important Notes
This playtest is focused on core gameplay systems and technical stability. It is not the final version of the game, and some features are still being actively developed and refined.

We encourage you to explore as much as possible, test different systems, and report any issues you encounter. You can share feedback and report bugs through our Discord community, where our team will be actively monitoring discussions during the test.
