Scars of Honor - PC Focus Update
From the very beginning, PC has been the primary platform for Scars of Honor. The game’s core systems and gameplay structure were built with PC as the foundation.
While we explored the possibility of bringing the same experience to mobile in the future, that was intended as an expansion of the PC version, not the other way around.
As development has progressed, we’ve taken time to evaluate our roadmap and priorities to ensure we deliver the strongest possible launch.
After careful consideration, we’ve decided to focus entirely on completing and releasing the PC version first.
This does not mean we are cancelling the mobile version. It remains part of our long-term vision. However, the best way to move forward is to dedicate our full attention to PC and consider mobile as a later-stage expansion once the PC version is released and stable.
Why We’re Focusing on PC
To deliver the best possible experience at launch
PC gives us the flexibility and power to fully realize the systems, visuals, and depth that define Scars of Honor. By focusing on one platform first, we can refine every detail, polish gameplay, and ensure the game launches in the strongest possible state.
To stay focused and maintain quality
Scars of Honor was designed from the ground up as a PC MMORPG.
We’ve seen comments suggesting that the game “looks like a mobile game”, and we want to address that directly.
Our art direction and graphic style were never chosen because of mobile. They are intentional artistic decisions that best represent the world of Scars of Honor. Stylized visuals are a creative choice, not a technical limitation.
At the same time, accessibility matters to us. We want as many MMORPG players as possible to experience Scars of Honor on PC. We’ve all seen games become so demanding in terms of hardware requirements that performance, framerate, and overall experience suffer for many players.
Our goal is to strike the right balance: a strong artistic identity combined with optimized performance, so the game remains accessible to a broad PC audience without sacrificing quality.
To build a Strong Foundation for a potential Mobile version
Mobile is still part of our vision. But instead of rushing to release both versions at the same time, we want first to have a stable and successful PC launch. Once that foundation is in place, we’ll carefully adapt the experience for mobile so it feels right on that platform while staying true to the heart of Scars of Honor.
The road ahead
We know many of you were excited about the cross-platform aspect, and we truly appreciate that enthusiasm. That excitement is exactly why we want to get this right. By focusing on PC first, we believe we’ll deliver a stronger game overall and a better experience on other platforms when they arrive.
Our goal is simple: Deliver an exceptional PC experience first - then expand on more platforms, from a position of strength.
